    • Reviewing key metrics and performance indicators collected by the team to ensure we effectively carry out the mission.

    • Coming prepared to board meetings. This entails regular attendance, reading board agendas and supporting materials, and approving board minutes. Board meetings are held monthly and online.

    • Approving CV’s annual budget and taking fiduciary responsibility. We want you to understand CV finances and legal requirements and ask questions when needed.

    • Identifying and recruiting other board members and volunteers. We want you to take an active role in growing our team.

    • Ensuring CV’s commitment to a diverse board and staff that reflects our values and the community we serve. CV values leading with compassion and sincerity, respect, and kindness. • Representing CV to stakeholders and acting as an ambassador for the organization. We are looking for board members excited to share their positive experiences with veganism and with their community.

  • As President of the Board of Directors for Casa Vegana, you will play an essential role in guiding the strategic direction of our organization and advocating for veganism in Puerto Rico. Additionally, you'll represent Casa Vegana at both public and private events, fostering relationships to strengthen our presence and reach.

We are seeking someone with a strong passion for veganism, solid leadership experience, and the ability to inspire and motivate others. As the public face of Casa Vegana, the President of the Board of Directors will embody our values and will be a visible advocate for veganism in Puerto Rico. This role is a unique opportunity to make a real impact in our community and help change lives for the better.

  • Board members should consider CV a philanthropic priority and make annual gifts that reflect that priority. We ask board members to give an amount that is significant to them. This allows our team to solicit contributions from foundations, organizations, and individuals credibly.

CV expects 100 percent of board members to make an annual contribution or raise a minimum of $1,500 each year.

  • Other than a commitment to veganism, there are none! We want to provide this opportunity to individuals passionate about Casa Vegana’s mission. We want you to understand what the CV team does, why we do it, and bring your best to helping us reach our goals.
